Launch Calendar Views
Finally… all in once place!
Hey, I’ll keep this short and sweet (kinda).
I just wanted to give you a quick tour of JVupdate.com and say hey.
First Off… The Tour
We’re going to keep this thing pretty damn simple, to the point, and no frills (unless people want frills).
There’s two parts to the service:
- The “bulk” top tier REI JV email blast list (no spam or abuse will fly… productive, “non-spammy”, and most of all fun)
- The launch calendar(s)
I tell a bit more about both on the About page.
If you have a product launch coming up... use the contact form to shoot the details my way or send me an email directly at trevor [at] trevormauch [dot] com. Try to send all of the details I ask for on the contact page so we can get the best and most complete info out to the other JV’s.
The Blog
I’m not exactly sure how this service will look in 12 months… I do know it’ll grow and be altered based on your suggestions and opinions to make it easier, more convenient, and more effective.
But, I think for now things will go like this:
- We get updates on launches from YOU… the fellow members
- W/ the info provided we’ll created a quick blog post outlining the launch. The who, what, when, where… etc.
- We’ll then post the launch date to the calendar
- Last we’ll send 1 blast to the other jv’s w/ 1 sentence pointing to the blog post for more info.
That’s it.
If it’s your launch and you want to personally reach out to the JV list… by all means do so by using the bulk JV email address “jv [at] jvupdate [dot] com“. But, use your head and be respectful of everyones time… 
don’t send 45 emails to the list saying to promote your stuff… 1-2 emails is probably enough.
I’m pretty confident that the group we’ve got here is the top of the top in the REI industry and no one will be a pain in the @ss and abuse this service… but if someone is we reserve the right to hire Disco Dan to boot them off and make sure they don’t have access to the jv blast email.
Is This Calendar Available To The Public?
Well, technically right now it is… but the only way for someone to find it is if one of us in the group tell other people.
I do want to keep this site out of the search engines so we’re making all of the pages within the site “nofollow and noindex” so the search engines won’t index the site. That way we’re safe from people stumbling onto the site.
Really, the only way this site will get out to the public is if us on the inside share it… that’s it.
If you’re paranoid about “outsiders” finding the site… let me know and we may consider password protecting it… but really a login is just one more stumbling block to making this really easy for us all to use. But let me know your thoughts.
The Goal Of JVupdate
The simple goal is to become the go to source where the top movers and shakers in the REI industry come first to get the word out about their launches, to share tips w/ fellow successful entrepreneurs, and to most of all enjoy life and have fun w/ eachother along the way… and of course it’ll always be free for the top JV’s in REI.
